| A warning to my fellow European collectors, steer well clear of Jose at http://www.armasizarra.com/index.php, he has some very nice blank fire guns, and replies to all your emails early on. But once he has your money (about 350 AUD for me) he goes silent, except for promises that he will send the item 'as soon as possible'. He then refuses to reply to any emails. Do not make my mistake, please do not give this man your business. And in fact if you want to drop him a quick email letting him know you won't be dropping him any business, here is his email.. tienda-e@armasizarra.com | |

| Thank you, but I used direct deposit internationally. Maybe I'll call my bank and see if I can do a charge back. | |

| Sorry to hear the bad news as the site looks good and legit, but thanks for the warning. being in the UK though i would not buy anything from the rest of Europe as most if not all would be illegal for us to possess. | |

| I have a couple of collector friends in Spain - they say that it is very problematic shipping internationally. They said two or three collector arrests for shipping firearm related material out of the country has scared everyone - can anyone confirm this?
I of course was trying to buy goodies from a Spanish Ebay style site (not Ebay) - they have some awesome material really cheap - but I simply could't find anyone willing to export it. ZB26 (their version is called an FAO) tripods, cleaning and amorer kits, canvas and wooden cases and shipping bags, all legal to import to the US, but I guess not exportable out of Spain?
There was a similar issue in Germany, I tried to buy Yugo Lafette tripods from Zib, and they said they could not export in working condition, would have to be "demilled" ? - or, I could have a German local buy it - no license required - and then export it. (I bought the Lafette from IMA-USA in the end.) | |
