Not a good day for Colt firearms, seems they have filed for bankruptcy, suprising you would think they would be top of the tree in sales. maybe they should start making airsoft, markets good there and maybe a few modelguns would be nice.

They already bankrupted in 1990s and were purchased by another company. This will likely happen again, as I would suppose Colt still has nice assets.

I have a revolver there currently being refinished, spoke with them this morning - nothing changing - it is expensive to have it refinished though, and they predict a 3-6 month turnaround.

You would think they would want to get things done quickly under the circumstances and get some tum over going. restoration is always expensive but if i still had my old model 19 i would pay the money.

Turnaround is due to the volume of work they have.
Incidentally - there is note with the invoice that specifies: Colt does not do restorations. Current style factory refinishing only.
The new barrel and refinish to Royal blue is more than I originally paid for the revolver - but, I am happy, it will be nice
