| I think you are going to struggle on this, your best bet would be to find an old junked model to take the bits off. Sorry if i am stating the obvious but thats how i end up getting spare parts for very old models. best person to contact is Shazib on this forum he could keep an eye on anything coming up in Japan. | |

| Claymore, thanks for the info, I didn't think parts would be easy to obtain. What I have is a junked model already, you should see the finish left on it......not much. | |

| Old parts can be bought back up by first rubbing them down with emery cloth and then polishing with Zebrite or some other stove cleaner that both stains and polishes. | |

| Yeah, this will have to be brought down to bare metal and reblued or blacked. I've already done a couple of pistols in casey birchwood aluminum black and they turned out okay. Going to try blueing on this one and see what happens.
I can't ship replicas into Canada as they would be seized. These are now banned here but they were sold up until the mid/late 90's and you can still come across them locally from time to time.
It's the early 70's metal version and i was hoping someone on the forums had a beat up/broken one that they would be willing to part out. I can make the plunger and probably find a spring myself, parts 24/25 would be hard to make.
Thanks. | |

| I managed to manufacture what I needed myself....still looking for originals if anyone has them. I tracked down a expansion spring that was the same diameter of the bolt spring and turned it into a compression spring measured to the right length. Made the thin side upper frame metal parts out of shim metal...the original broken piece is to the right of the new long piece I made in the picture below......they still need to be blued. Plunger was made of a 3mm diameter s hook that was cut to size, filed and straightened. I have a small expansion spring for the take down lever that I haven't gotten around to yet. Here's a pic of the parts I made: http://photoshare.shaw.ca/messages/viewimage/32228124470-1460881984-76790/parm/27257925/page/1/15 | |

| Well done mate, unfortunately many parts for old models have to be custom made these days, the up side is the custom part is usually a hell of a lot better than the original. | |

Thanks. I use Rinkya to buy through Japanese auction sites. It bumps the price up (essentially they purchase it for you and then ship it again once it arrives in their warehouse), but usually not by anything too absurd. I just had a full Tanaka Glock 17 arrive in perfect condition through them here in California, and have an MGC VP70 on the way. Here's the page for the same lot of parts on their site (when you search through them it trawls a bunch of Japanese auctions). Hope it works out! Luger Parts | |

| Veektohr,
Thanks for the heads up, I've come across those Japanese auctions before and didn't know they had sites like rinkya.
