Hi,
If the cap has been fired then I use a pin punch and gently tap it through from the back.

If not fired, I use a needle to gently pry it out.
Making sure all the time that the thing points in SAFE direction!!!! Always looking from a side.
Sometimes it gets sucked in due to grease/silicon seal, things get tricky then...
