Found this channel on YouTube. It shows a LOT of different finishing tips, but I have no idea what he's saying I've been able to piece a little together, but if anybody had an interest in taking a look and breaking some things down you'd forever have my thanks.

I like the finish he has managed to get on the Borchardt pistol.

That one really caught my eye as well. I didn't know you could buff and polish the HW ABS like that so that it would take bluing. Super impressive.
I found his blog, and on some he mentions that when the ABS frames don't have metal powder in them, he has begun using zinc paint to take the bluing fluid (which I also noticed he dilutes by quite a bit in all his builds, and submerges parts after buffing to a mirror polish). Super interesting.
