Hi,
I have just acquired this all nickel revolver. The markings on the top of the octaganol barrel are -
Remington New Model 1860 Cal.44
MFG CMC TOKYO No A1961
The model can be stripped down, but the barrel is completely blocked and so are the cylinders. It has a lanyard ring.
My research on the internet says that Japanese law from 1965 insisted on blocked barrels and cylinders.
So post 1965 then.
Plug Fire site advertised a blued version in 2013 and stated that it could fire 7mm caps. I have some on order to test this.
But I can't even find a pic of an all nickel one. Weight, barrel length, total length are all dead on.
I have jpgs but have not worked out how to upload them to this forum. Help needed.
Any additional information regarding the revolver would be appreciated.
