Hudson Vz61 / MGC P210 hybrid cartridge

As promised a while ago under the topic “More on replacement cartridge” I have been testing prototype cartridges – a hybrid between the original Hudson Vz61 and the interiors of the MGC P210 cartridge




Testing of 5 prototypes and a new detonator pin was quite succesfull. So off I went and asked for the manufacture of 20 “for real” cartridges


Now these are nice, polished, smooth and shiny

Do they work     -   YES

Full auto series of 6-8 I believe can be considered good for a  start. I cannot say I have stopped testing and experimenting but right now the focus is on magazine lips and magazine spring

when i have figured out what format of video Photobucket prefers i will upload a short sequence of the Hudson Vz61 Skorpion firing these new cartridges

Those look amazing and if you have got the 61 to work well from custom rounds and det pin change then you have succeeded where many have failed, the 61 is notorious for not working.

I Will claim that I have it working. Working well is in my opinion requiring a bit more tuning.
I am currentluly polishing the detonator pin and will next look into the magazine lips.


I plan to make a post under modelgun problems, hoping I will be able to list both problems and suggestions to solve some.

That is very interesting! I had a Vz61 from Hudson years ago, but it didn't work. keep us updated, mate!
