WTB: Marushin Uzi + other (Canada only!)

Hi all. First time posting! I've been looking online for ages for a Marushin Uzi from a Canadian seller. Due to Canadian laws it's not possible to import PFC guns from outside the country (as far as I've read --
including on here). Which is a shame and limits the options quite a bit, but what can you do, right?

I'm a small-time filmmaker located in Vancouver who'd love the Uzi in particular as a film prop, due the realistic way it behaves on camera, so you know the piece will be treated right. I'm willing to pay very fairly for such a piece, if any fellow Canuck is willing to part with one.

In addition, I'm also open to other working replicas, especially for classic semi-automatic handguns and/or submachine guns. I'd be happy with any of the fun guns in this video, really:

Hey again, so it's been a year and I've been unsuccessful in locating anything in that time. Very tough to find this stuff in Canada! So yeah, I'm still in the market for just about any PFC gun but especially automatics. Thought I'd shout into the void about it again. Thank you!

Are there gun sites in Canada where you can advertise for modelguns? Have you checked with your customs on importing? its getting very difficult in all countries to export or import firearms and this includes airsoft, really ridiculous when in many of these countries you can buy the real thing.

There are gun sites but I've had no luck. Also have alerts for various Craiglist and Kijiji cities. Decent airsoft comes up now and again, but no modelguns as of yet. Hope springs eternal, though...!

Yeah, there are pretty severe regulations (added in the last decade) that restrict accurate replicas from being imported, although certain plastic BB guns are apparently allowed by customs if they have a low enough ROF. These restrictions don't apply to exports, though, so if a Canadian sells a modelgun to someone across the border, it's gone forever. So we've got a dwindling supply and I believe the government's intention is to bring that down to zero eventually.

Man, if only I lived in Florida, I COULD just get a real Uzi

4 years later, I still haven't located an Uzi, but I did managed to find one of my wishlist's top five. Got it upgraded with an Easy-CP firing pin, too. Just wish it were easier to find caps. The hunt goes on...
