| hello , ive recently found a interest into model guns but living in the USA and not ever planning on going to japan or such countries where you can find them in store , are there places or websites where you buy them to ship to the USA? I looked at Tokyo hobby central but that site doesn't look to have been update since 2013. | |

| I am in the USA and I use rinkya.com/en to buy replica guns and parts off the Japanese yahoo action sight. You will pay commissions and shipping but that is the trade off for zero customs issues and undamaged items because they are well packaged. Just register on their web sight and start. They also store your items for free so you can combine shipping to save some money. | |

Just checked the site. it seems to me it has the same faults/defects of Yahho.jp. No truly description of item, traslation is approximate, sketchy, sometimes you have to guess if it's fullmetal, abs-hw, or even a gas airsoft replica only from pictures - if they are detailed - or if you already know the model. And the shipping and commission fares when they are supposed to show? after you have pushed the buyout button and you can't turn back? Just my opinion, of course. Regards to everybody

| Welcome to the hobby and the forum! Many of us here have been in the hobby for a very long time and there's a wealth of info available here.
There are a few options for USA shipping. Besides the post above (which I haven't tried personally), there are a couple of retailers that will ship to the US. The only one I'm aware of that offers a guarantee on delivery is DenTrinity. I think they still guarantee delivery - haven't purchased from there in a while.
There is always a risk importing an imitation firearm. This hobby is not generally well known in the US and despite the harmless nature of the models, if Customs opens the package there is a very good chance they will hold it up - even if it is marked with the required orange muzzle. I know from experience, unfortunately.
There are also a couple of members here that will try to help if they can.
Sometimes items pop up on ebay, too. You have to be careful there as sometimes those models are "deactivated". If you're just looking for a display item, that's not an issue. But if you want to fire caps, it will create a problem for you.
Are you looking for anything specific?

It sounds strange since it was the US who first imported Replicas from japan and then exported them in the rest of the world (or not?)

Same story everywhere: Model guns are still legal in lot of countries but, lacking of a huge distributor the gives you the chance to buy them at home, you're afraid to put yourself in a mess buying them direclty from abroad.

True, expecially from USA, but i still wonder if the ebay "global Shipping Program" is "customs seizure proof" with such items, since I don't know if ebayers who bought from abroad "got away with it" or else.

Me, I don't care a lot about caps, I just arrived to the point that I gave up to my principles and bought a GBB full metal of a model I am particularly fond of that hasn't a full metal equivalent in Modelguns. It seems to me that , in order to buy safe from abroad, you have to spent a lot of money with couriers that can get smoothly through customs.

Checked again the site and found the fees page (thanks to google. no links on the home page). So they accept paypal and credit card, that's ok. I think I'll kept an eye on it and maybe register too. Anyone knows about that other site, Jauce.com? Just given a look, it seems they put a disclaimer when it comes to model guns, sayng they cannot ship internationally etc.
