Double barrel cartridges Empty
PostSubject: Double barrel cartridges    Double barrel cartridges Icon_minitimeSat May 26, 2018 1:20 am

Hi, I'm new and I have a question.
If I have a softair double barrel sawed off (mad max), can I buy and use model gun cartridges instead of softair cartridges?
It works or there are problems ? Maybe with e reduction?
Thx
Ale

Ale -
Welcome to the forum!!!!

I assume you have one of the Hawsan sawed off gas airsoft shotguns.

The short answer is yes, that it can be done.  I have done it a couple of times and I'm very happy with the resulting full metal and real wood shotgun model guns in my collection.

The long answer is that it takes some work and it is not cheap to do.  You have basically 2 issues to address to make it function as a model gun.

1.  The Hawsan shotgun does not have spring-loaded triggers, which are necessary to strike a cartridge to ignite caps.

2.  Then, obviously you will need cartridges that hold caps.

Here is the result:

Let me know if I can help with any questions!

Thx for the answer Smile
I need guns replica for reenactment and historical larp, so I've looking for pfc or blank weapons, as realistic as possible, but model guns are expensive and realy hard to find, much than blank guns.
Your modification is awesome, is there a guide in the forum? The cost is e relatives problem but I'm not sure to be able to do that modification Smile
Thx Ale

I think model guns would be a very safe alternative to blank guns for filming, etc.

If you have a decent mechanical aptitude and some basic hand tools, you can do the modification.

It is not hard to do, but it can be expensive.

PM me if you would like more info.

Hi,
Unfortunately I haven't a decent mechanical aptitude and some basic hand tools ^^
It's a future project. The double barrell wasn't mine, but I was looking for info for a purchase. Hudson models hare expensive rare and ther is to many plastic, often not even wood.
But maybe this mod is over my capacity.
