| CAW Thompson, only had 5 rounds for the Thompson when i first got it, but another member of this forum was able to sell me more (as CAW aint making them now). S you can see they work really well, not one jam or misfire, that said i also have an upgraded steel bolt for it so that probably helps. This really is a great model its a real pity CAW does not seem to doing anything of late. https://youtu.be/zBzlsGPbz8whttps://youtu.be/zBzlsGPbz8w | |

| Great model gun! Great video!
I was lucky enough to get hold of a couple of these right after their release. While one of them has remained in the box, the other has been thoroughly enjoyed, it's never performed as smoothly as yours.
Your steel bolt upgrade certainly makes a big difference!
Thanks. | |

| Cheers Guys, first time i fired this i used mgc 45 and mulberry field rounds and i got the usual jams, so i was not expecting the actual CAW rounds to perfom so well but they did. As i say though the steel bolt i believe does make a difference though the original zinc bolt was made well. What CAW/Mule or doing i have no idea, the mule site has been down for ages and that seemed to of taken over from CAW and another site opened up that did the recent ingram also under the CAW Banner, so i am lost on what is happening. Just wish they would make some more rounds for this model. | |

| I found that I could use the CAW 45 ACP rounds or the CAW Thompson rounds in my M1A1s. Good news for you Claymore is that if you have difficulty finding the Thompson rounds, you can use the base of the CAW 45 ACP round with the Thompson cartridge nose. The nose on the Thompson round is so robust, it should last you darn near forever.
I really, really like CAW or MULE models, but this M1A1 in particular is one of my favorite models in my entire collection. I wish the company made spares for it, too. Getting spares for any of their models is quite difficult and sometimes impossible.
I know the company site said (a long time ago) that the "next run would be priced higher". But I think the chances of a second production run are pretty slim. If you've got one of these, I'd hang on to it!
