This is an old non Evo Tanaka Glock 17, it always had problems with the barrel ribs as can be seen in the pic (on the vid). That was one improvements they made on the Evo models by making the ribs metal, i use the new Evo rounds though as they are lot less brutal on the gun.
I nee to get a newer Evo barrel and give that a try, if of course i can get a spare barrel.

Thanks for posting up another video!!! Very Happy

I'm surprised it functioned as well as it did with that barrel damage.

I'm certain you should be able to get a spare barrel as Tanaka just released the G18 with the short barrel, so they should have just ramped up production on them.  Just check that screw once in a while as it does tend to back out after some use!

I like the Evo rounds, however I've also ran the Ctec MildKick rounds through my G17 Evo with good luck.  The benefit to me of the CTec rounds are that they are less fiddly - 7mm cap and fewer parts.  Also, they are anodized aluminum so they seem to clean up easier, too.  Of course, you have to get a different detonator to use them.

Keep the videos coming please!!! cheers

It must be a mess to pick up all the rounds after firing Laughing
Nice muzzle flash by the way !
