Hey guys, just joined yesterday and received my first gun last night. Its MGC MP40 68. ITS AWESOME. ive got some questions about this gun id like to ask the group later but wanted to introduce myself first.
Im a inert ordnance collector ( and flags, and milsurps ) and couldn't see paying $6,000 for a "original" parts on a dummy receiver, and Im interested in re-inacting. Anyway, just saying hello. will post pics of my MP40 when I have a chance. thanks yall

I will post pics when I get a chance but I think I have a display non functioning model. Can this PRACTICALLY be converted to blank/cap fire. "PRACTICAL" the optimum word here. Also I followed a link elsewhere in forum to a seller of bakelite replicas of MP 40 furniture. I REALLY like the brownish color. oanyway ive sent messages 2 times now and no response, does anyone know what happened or know of another place I might try. Thanks guys. enjoy reading posts

sorry I didn't see this question has been asked numerous times before. will read FIRST (what a concept tim!) before asking redundant questions. I would like to hear from group about bakelite replacement parts

Hi Timmy,

the replica Bakelite items you mention are probably the ones made by History Arms in the US.
Excellent parts, I have bought from them in the past.
Unfortunately, however, all my recent, several enquiries with them have gone unanswered. It's possible they're no longer trading.
So far I've been unable to source another supplier.
