| I wiped the gun down with a rag with acetone before I used HIGH HEAT GREY spay paint followed by HIGH HEAT BLACK in a lighter coat. Then to keep it from wiping off so easily I put a coat of Testors model airplane flat clear coat. | |

please, could you send me picture of the products you used and where, eventually, to buy them online? I got the very first replica of my collection - a MGC 1911A1-67 - which had the black finish fading away in some points, replaced by a white patina, due also to having been stored in a US holster reproduction deteriorated inside, and I'd like to try to restore it in some way(the easiest way), and a parkerized finish seems a good choice, judging from your denix M3 pics. Thanks in advance for your tips and help. | |
