| This is the MGC Kimber swat custom, well half of it. Anyone who has an MGC 1911 will know the barrels break real easy, so it came as a bit of a surprise when the barrel did not break but the slide broke in two whilst firing. This was some yrs ago and a new slide for this model is pretty impossible to source, so it now has a standard MGC 1911 slide, so its half a kimber swat custom. As I said before barrels break real easy on MGC 1911's, so when I saw the Zeke aluminium barrels for sale I picked a couple up. This was again a good few yrs ago and I dont think they make them anymore, they were also very expensive about 16000 yen at the time, but no more broken barrels. I used C-tec 45 rounds for this vid and they work well, they put less strain on the gun as they seem to be a milder kick than the old MGC 45 rounds, but that might be down to the C-Tec being aluminium and the MGC brass and a lot heavier. I did have stoppages as you can see, a few were down to caps that just went pop rather than bang so no real blowback. But I think the mag caused problems as well as it failed to lock the slide back and got stuck in the grip, so I need to try another mag sometime. https://youtu.be/3Juhg7wYK_EZeke Barrel Barrel screw apart https://youtu.be/3Juhg7wYK_E | |

| Thank you for the video. I have really enjoyed it. The stoppages are strange tough, I had expected it to run better with the Zeke barrel and the C-tec rounds. Anyway I have never tried these myself.
I still like the good old Colt .45. I have to take my MGC M1991A1 Series 80 out ... | |
