I have the standard size length M4A1 anyone knows how to cut short the barrel to change it into short barrel one? I don't want to buy another modelgun.
I think it could be done but not sure as there is a zinc barrel inside completely joint to the plastic outer plastic barrel. But I don't think I can just cut it and place back the flash hider.
Anyone has done this before?

I´d suggest to contact Francky in Japan and order the short barrel part so you can interchange the two barrels without damaging your gun.
The flash hider has a small allen screw on its bottom. If you loosen this you can pull off the A2 flash hider. Then you can see that there is a metal tube inside the barrel.
I love my M4 too much so I´ll never saw it off

Hi Weekf,
I agree with Madmike,buy the extra barrell from Francky,one wrong saw cut and you've ruined an excellent modelgun for good and according to Francky they are becomming rare now that MGC have stopped producing them!!.
