I have one of the first run Shoei MP44 & Mkb42, these are both outstanding model guns. High price tag, yes , but well worth it. Still waiting for the Shoei MP40 saving up for it right now.

Great models!
I am sure the MP40 will be the best model of a MP40 available on the market. The only drawback is that the SHOEI models are dummy only.

I love that they have taken the time to make the longer muzzle nut and funky scope mount groove below the rear sight on the MP43. These must have been relatively expensive changes to the production process.
Matsumoto is a very nice guy, dealt directly with him, through this forum.
I would buy one of their MKB42 replicas, if they became available again.

pitfighter, there is a Shoei Mkb42 up for auction on the Japan Yahoo auction sight for the buy it know price of $1,666.67 if you want to take a chance since you are in the USA.

Thank you, I have bought from Japan a few times, but, with shipping, I'm not too keen on that price. I bought some FG42 from Shoei directly and he was excellent to deal with. I dealt with Matsumoto Tomio through his FB page.
Unless I stumble across one for sale or trade at a more reasonable price. I'll probably wait until DK imports a few of the SSD semi-auto replicas, and sacrilege as it is to have an MKB42(H) that fires from a closed bolt - I'll go that way. https://www.dkproductiongroup.com/
I've used their reproduction parts on restorations of original WW2 MP44's and a Krieghoff FG42. (Yes, they are legally owned, manufactured and/or imported, it is my work.)
