FS - MGC Colt 1911A1 Parkarized Heavy Weight - PRICE DROP

Selling a few guns due to upgrades and a new project.

Here we have an MGC Colt 1911 A1, this is the heavy or 'Super' Heavy weight version with the parkarized look.

So here's the story, this was one of those unfortunate model guns that... blew up! Bought it last year and on the 8th shot it blew the slide off the rail and blew the chamber out cracking it at the bottom. I fixed and glued the crack with strong epoxy and put two steel plates at either side and pinned them which has fixed the break. However the gun is now a bit temperamental. You can cock it by hand as hard as you like a million times and it operates fine, but for some reason if you fire it, sometimes it seems to knock the slide off the tracks again. The hammer can also be a bit temperamental too, doesn't always lock back. I've had a look inside and there doesn't appear to be any wear on the hammer parts so God only knows.
I personally have removed the detonator pin and it has been used as a dummy cartridge display piece which it does perfectly, cycling and ejecting dummy cartridges.

This could probably be made to work again if you have the time and skills but if not makes a fantastic highly detailed display piece.

Comes with original box and instructions and 1 dummy cartridge, detonator pin and a metal loop thing that came with it that I never figured out what it was Laughing
