Does anyone have a barrel bolt with a top pin / lugnut in it? MGC68 MP40?

Hi guys,

I bought an MGC68 MP40 at auction and can't get the barrel off to dissemble it? I've done some research and can't find anything like it, there's a small pin / lugnut in the barrel bolt as shown in the pic?

Any help would be really appreciated!

Welcome to the forum!

That's an unusual modification to the barrel nut. I've not seen one like that before. All I can suggest is that if the Roll Pin runs straight through the barrel nut, it should be possible to drift it out. Once removed, you should be able to unscrew the barrel nut and strip it in the usual manner.

Let me / us know if that pin does go straight through please?
