Hi
Found this mag in the loft, pretty sure it’s for model gun. Just wondered what mag it is if anyone can help. Made of aluminium and plastic.
Cheers

Looks like a STANNAG NATO Magazine. This is probably for the L85 Weapon series as RG is Radway Green, BAE Wapons Royal Ordnance

I also would say it is a magazine for the L85 Weapon series, judging by its black finish and RG (Radway Green) plastic floor plate. They can be modified by filing the magazine catch hole, modifying the feed lips and using a shortened (weaker) spring for use in the Marushin M16 series.

I have one myself I got from a friend in the UK (Claymore, was that you?) approx. 15 years ago ...

MadMike is correct - it’s a British issue L85 magazine from the 90s - they were bloody awful and were flimsy and would be very prone to flipping the follower if banged against something when partially full and jam the weapon - the Uk moved to the H&K steel mag after they realised the RG mag was so bad - the H&K mag was almost perfect, solid and and never jammed due to the design of the follower ….I still use the H&K ones in my live fire ARa

The MOD then transitioned to the plastic Pmags from Magpul.

It’s probably only worth a fiver sadly

So I think we are all saying that, being an early SA80 mag it is indeed for a modelgun Smile
