Subject: WTB literally any modelgun from a Canadian Seller Mon Sep 30, 2024 8:55 pm
Hey fine denizens of the modelgun forum, my first time posting, I've been looking on and off for modelguns in canada and i always circleback here and window shop stuff from sellers in the USA but since they cant ship here (unless im unaware of some loophole or change) its fruitless, like the title says im looking for anything from any fellow canadians (in ontario preferably) to sell me something, i would prefer an automatic but honestly i'd be fine with anything.

PS. does anyone know if these shoot anything and if so has anyone ever tried fielding them at like an airsoft field or otherwise? I want one for a home-movie but i wouldn't mind playing a little airsoft with it...

Welcome to the Forum.
I'm replying from the UK and don't honestly know if there are an Canadian dealers of Modelguns. We do have a small number of Canadian members here though who may be able to assist.
Apart from a very small number of modelguns that DID fire both cap charged cartridges and BBs, by far the majority only simulate firing and do not fire any projectiles.
If you did use a shell ejecting modelgun on an Airsoft site you would have to either have a gun mounted shell catcher or spend half your day frantically searching for your very expensive reusable brass cartridges !

Hello to you too And thanks for replying, its really too bad that theres so little modelguns in canada and thanks for answering my airsoft question i really appreciate it and didn't think of that.
Are you aware of anyway i could personally import them if i went somewhere where that was legal?

Hi Hugh
You should check Canadian Customs laws first to find out if you could legally import a modelgun into Canada. If Airsoft guns can be imported then you probably could. Two options I can think of:
Ask your nearest Airsoft dealer if he could get you a specific modelgun.
Ask on our Buy/Sell section if anyone in Canada has one for sale.
You never know!

For what it's worth, there are a few on eBay for sale that are based in the USA. You may want to investigate that avenue.f

The only model guns that are legal in Canada are antiques. All modern guns are classified as prohibited weapons and can not be imported, bought or sold. You can only own the ones you had prior to the law changing back in the '90's. If you want a modern model gun you would need to get an airgun or airsoft.
