Marushin UZI Metal Mag/Trigger Housing

Hi Guys,

What are the options for changing the Marushin UZI mag/trigger housing from the later plastic type to a metal one

Are the Marushin metal one hard to find?, are they a straight fit are there any other custom ones (airsoft) that will fit as i'd hate to make my own one

Straight forward type of fit although I can`t imagine this part is easy to find on its own .

Some of these come with only a single stack mag also although my double stack fits mine just fine.
not sure on the metal Airsoft thing ..most standard airsoft stuff is tin plate anyway

It seems that Marushin made at least three trigger housings for their Uzi over the years. the First seems to have the single stack type of magazine and it accepts the real Uzi magazines as well. The first type is made out of stamped steel and is quite heavy duty in construction. I think that the first type was only installed on the early Marushin Uzi's (Paper cap) The second type, (also stamped steel) seems to possibly use a smaller in diameter (?) magazine. These Uzi's (PFC) where made only for a short time and they where quickly replaced by the last ABS magazine housings. I have only had one mid production Marushin Uzi that had the stamped steel magazine housing and it wasn't mine. So, I only had it in my hands a few times back in the 1980's and I can't remember too much about it...

Thats a shame as i was hoping that somebody would post a reply saying "don't worry as i have a big bag full of metal housings" .

Well, I have a 1983 (if memory serves me) factory assembled Marushin UZI that has a metal trigger housing. I´ll have a look. Anyway I have never fired this model as it is in such nice and new condition. It is more a collector´s item for me.

It would have been great if Marushin had replacement steel magazine housings to replace all of the easily broken ABS housings..But, the sad part is that the steel magazine housings are rare and they command a fairly high price if you can find one today! I meant to state in my earlier post that the early magazine housings don't seem to fit the late (cast aluminum) receivers. So, I guess the only really "good" way to place a stamped steel housing on the late cast aluminum receivers is to either make your own housing or search high and low for the old housings!
