See these links below.

Those are based on HW SAA. Lot of guys tried to blue HW modelgun here, so little success story though. I haven't tried by myself because:
1) too afraid to ruin the model
2) don't have time to spend (it is fairly time consuming)

Want to try?

Guys,

I think it'll be more wise and time-saving by just buying those "Custom Guns" (blued HW guns included) from Custom workshops such as Carom Shots (it's their problem if they ruin the guns but I don't know how many they've stuffed-up since they cost ~3 times than the original...)

But then again, it's up to anyone to decide if it is worthwhile to buy a JPY 80,000 model handgun with special/realistic coating as the only difference...I'll make another post in regard to this...

Well, that SAA on the second link is exactly what I am talking about. How is that done, that is what I want mine to look like. I understand that it is not worth messing up a whole gun for, but you could start with smaller parts, until you knew what you were doing. Parts that would be eay to replace, such as a hammer or a cylinder etc. I am sure that I am not the only one who would like to know how to do this, whether it can only be done to certain models due to the material, or whether the same sort of effect can be done on the zinc metal guns? Why would blueing work on HW material? Is it due to the amount of metal that they use, or is it a different kind of bluing solution?
