This type of thing may have been mentioned before but its current.

Ok in some not too distant future ......... bit George Orwell .

Old Bill raps on your door , comes in, wants to see your modelguns (he knows where/what they all are as you have had to register you collect them some time ago)

The biggest looking cop says "we are having to take away all modelguns due to a new government directive,

you can keep one ......choose "

Ok chaps which of your collection could you never be without ....difficult I know as most of us collect lots because of their differences ....

Lets not start cheating and choosing one rifle one pistol and one smg

Big Cop says " one !! and you`ve got ten minutes !!! "

me ? rather surprisingly I think it would be the MGC Thompson ...not rare ..not exotic but a nicely made modelgun and so very reliable and fun to handle and shoot.
(easy to clean too )

Of course in this scenario we have an endless free supply of spare parts for our one and only.

I've already sorted out my "hiding place" should such a raid occur

I only have a couple anyway so if they DID demand them, they might as well have the lot. I'd be pissed, sure... but I'd drown my sorrows by indulging in another hobby instead.

There`d be no point in keeping them if a "future state" made them illegal , you couldnt get them out and you couldnt show anyone ....sort of the reasons for not having real ones type thing .... plus the illegality of course .

INDULGE IN ANOTHER HOBBY .... I did but they banned them too .
