| Post by ljerr2 Aug 1, 2007) Francky said he has heard that Mr. Kobayashi is going to be making modelguns. This has to be good news for us, right? Maybe we could still see an MP5 model gun? Has anyone else heard anything? | |

| Post by Claymore Jay of modelguns.uk confirms that mgc are still going but on a small scale which is good news for rounds and spares alone. | |

| Post by shazhib As claymore said, I heard MGC continues in lot smaller scale, selling small parts, but not the gun itself as MGC sold most of their molds already.
I haven't confirmed about Mr. Kobayashi's plan, but if he is going to make a modelgun, I would assume it will come out later 2008 or later, as he is now busy to release Tanio Koba's first long gun gas blow back early next year. | |

| Post by MadMike Well, I am really skeptical. MGC can not supply quite a lot of spare parts at the moment, and as Shazhib says they sold most of their molds. Anyway they were down before and came back, so I hope they´ll be able to do that again.
Anyway I think that the modelgun hobby will suffer from the VCR Act in the UK in October. I´d say that Great Britain is the second important market for modelguns. Modelguns are hardly known in Germany and I think they are not very common in the USA either. So all will depend on the Japanese market. _________________ "It's a hardball world, son. | Post by Mark While it's very interesting news, I really don't think that MGC will recover this time. Unless they concentrate on small items like spare cartridges/barrels etc. that sell well even in this airsoft world. That and if they should make another modelgun it should be an MP5 or some other really popular firearm that people will buy even though they really don't understand or like modelguns.
As far as the modelgun market being affected by this Octobers VCR in the UK, I too, have thought about this as the UK does represent a good portion of the modelgun export market followed by other countries..When the importation of the "firearms replicas" ceases, only time will tell just how much that the modelguns market will be affected. _________________ Wanted to buy: MGC Sten MK3....trades?(still)

| Post by MadMike Well you have two suppliers running internet stores (well one has now left for France obviously), and quite a lot of the forum members are from the UK. I´d say for all western people who are interested in modelguns and can´t read Japanese the UK stores are first choice after checking the net ... _________________ "It's a hardball world, son.
