WANTED INSTRUCTIONS FOR MGC COLT 1911 PLEASE


I've just 'won' this MGC Colt .45 M1911 and hope that one of you chaps might have an instruction manual I could copy please?
I don't know the exact model, hopefully the photos will help?

Cerwyn,

Unfortunately, I don't have the copy, but this looks early model of cap firing open cartridge model. If this is the case, be careful when you detach lef side grip. 2 pins (don't know how to call them), pointing one to slide stop and the other to thum safety is held to sit by thin metal plate just under top of the grip. The plate was held by grip. Therefore, if you casually detach the left grip, the plate come loose, end up spring out either side of "2 pins". If that happens, it will be nightmare to find the pin. Hope my explanation is clear to you (I'm telling you this from my personal experience some 20 years before).

Thanks for the warning shazhib and Spence!
Assuming the rounds in the following photo are the correct ones for the gun, are these the open type you mentioned shazhib?
Are rounds and caps still available as there will only be 6 coming with the gun?
Is it possible (or even worth bothering) to convert the firing pin to use cp type rounds?
