| Post by Spencerman Here are a few pics of a custom gun case that I had made up for my .44 Automag. Unfortunately the guy that I got it from is no longer making them (at the moment). I shall post a link on here if he does start to make them again. Not sure if the price will still be the same if he does, but this one cost me around $130.00 US Dollars, so it was not overly expensive for a mohagany gun case. It has a compartment in the lid for the documents, and he even was able to supply me with a copy of the automag manual and genuine inert .44 Automag rounds. Usually the cases display the magazine seperate from the gun, but I wanted to display the rounds instead, so I just designed my layout, down to what way I wanted the gun to point, and what sort of space I wanted the rounds at, what colour felt I wanted, and he did the rest. Here is a picture of the same case made for a model 180 I am sure that you would all agree, it is a very nice case. | |

| Subject: Pistol Presentation Boxes Sat Mar 05, 2011 1:19 pm | |
| PRESENTATION BOXESAfter looking at my growing collections of modelgun & airsoft pistols, I decided to make my own presentation boxes out of old 2nd hand Cutlery boxes. This is my first attempt - and as I'm happy withthe result, I plan to make a few more! It was a good project for those "rainy days" - and I was surpsrised how engrossed I became - and the wet days seemed to pass quickly....... I chose a theme of German pistols of WW2: a Luger P08, a Walther PPK and a Walther P38. First I bought a large box from a local on-line auction for 20 bucks; ripped out the guts. Then relined it with red hard felt; then decided what pistols would fit. After placing the pistols in various positions until I was happy with what I saw; I marked out dividing areas. Then using some scrap wood ( 5mm bamboo and scrap off cuts in the workshop) I glued pieces together to form partitions and make a dummy cartridge holder. These were covered in soft red felt. I used a fast-drying PVA glue for everything! I had the local trophy shop make some printed metal labels using some graphics I found on the internet. The photos show the progression and final product. Sorry the RED doesn't digitise as well as some other colours - but you'll get the idea! Hope some Forum members get inspired to recycle unwanted cutlery boxes too! Kiwigunner | |

| Glad you like it! As you say, I found it very satisfying - to the extent I'm planning another. This time with GREEN felt! ' ' I'll put some Airsoft ' ' replicas in it this time! Kiwigunner | |
