Wataru kindly linked a Japanese retailer who lists this very unusual Thompson.

I know the original Thompsons were intended as machine pistols, offered without a shoulder stock. There's a nice photo of Steve McQueen brandishing one of them in the pages here somewhere.
I've never seen this wooden grip arrangement before, can anyone shed any light please Question

Thanks

Hello Cerwyn!

It is MARUSHIN Junior Gun Series.
There were various guns, M1928, and MP40.
The scale has been considerably downed.
When it is 30 years ago junior high school student, I also have seen in the toy shop.

It is exhibited in Yahooo Auction here.

It goes out in detail here.

However, the stock of the image is uncertain where produced it.
