This is a Japanese Blog entry where the author is explaining how he fit a real fire selector to cure the problem of the HF selector not clicking into the SEMI position.
8ace has done it similar to mine but I find the step by step explanation really helpful.

In January I was able to post pictures in light snow. Right now just before Christmas I took it out for some playing in the rain ...
Note the 20 round magazine.

Now with worn mil surplus handguards and magazine, reproduction bayonet and commercial (non Colt) slanted stock.

At the risk of getting boring here are more pictures. I was able to take a few photos out on a cold but sunny day. The HobbyFix M4A1 is in its original set-up here, the carts and casings are real deactivated ones and the steel ammo crate is a German Federal Army one for 7,62 rounds …
