1911 colt Safety Lock (thumb safety) compatibility

Does anyone know if a Safety Lock from a real Colt 1911 will fit the MGC 1911? And, are maybe any of the pins or other parts compatible? Several of my local arms dealers have some of the parts I need but I would like to know if they will work before I purchase them.
