Yes it does say caliver not caliber. It is all metal and has a crown emblem on each side above the trigger. japan is stamped on the bottom where the clip goes in. I will try to get pictures on. Thanks for any help!!

That sounds like either an MGC or a CMC all zinc .45 to me and it actually sounds like a Japanese spec version due to the crown markings. The collectors armory sold tons of the all zinc .45 modelguns all the way up to 1994 or so. However, just about all of them where display only and so, they cannot fire caps.
