That Itch You Gotta Scratch Empty
PostSubject: That Itch You Gotta Scratch   That Itch You Gotta Scratch Icon_minitimeSat Oct 17, 2020 10:19 am

In the 1990's I chose to scratch-build from the ground up some modelguns of the rare, restricted, limited, prototype, or just plain unattainable types.  This was a situation very similar to 1950's Japan so I wanted to see just how far my motivation, passion, improvisation, and skill was willing to go for the hobby.  Here are some old pics of the results...

That Itch You Gotta Scratch Scrtch13
M-134 Minigun "Ol' Painless" Variant from "Predator"
Hawk MM-1 40mm Rotary Launcher from "Terminator"
Manville Rotary Launcher from "Dogs of War"

That Itch You Gotta Scratch Sa3jkh13
USAS-12 Shotgun (real firearm for scale comparison)
S&W AS-3 Shotgun (broken LS M-16A1 model rebuild)
Jackhammer Mk2
Jackhammer Mk1 (both are built with Super Soaker water guns)

That Itch You Gotta Scratch Oicwsa13
XM29 OICW Gen1 and Gen2 by H&K (Top/Bottom)
XM29 SABR by Alliant Techsystems (Middle)

That Itch You Gotta Scratch Oicw2013
LS M-16A1/M203 and XM29 Gen2 for scale and measurement
OICW's & SABR are ready to be used on the promotion/release of console game "Ghost Recon Island Thunder"

No CAD and no digital printer were used in their build.  25-plus years later I still have all of them in my gun room as a subtle reminder to ask myself "The hell was I thinking?!"

Welcome to the forum and thanks for posting up pics of your models and creations!

Regarding the itch, I don't think there is any pill or cream that is going to help you..................... Very Happy

The only solution I have found so far is to keep scratching that itch!!! That Itch You Gotta Scratch 2740960407 That Itch You Gotta Scratch 2740960407 That Itch You Gotta Scratch 2740960407
