Subject: Is Marushin ammo interchangeable with MGC? Sun May 15, 2022 5:36 am
I'm new to cap replicas and I was wondering if Marushin ammo could fit in an MGC magazine (more specifically an M16 mag)

i will have a go and get back to you on this, but those 2 rounds reguire different types of det pin in the chamber.

I tried the MGC ammo in a marushin mag and it fits fine, but you would need to change the det pin in the chamber as i mentioned before.

Hi,
The "Det" pin is the detonator pin that resides within the barrel/breach of the Cap gun. They are usually shaped to fit the specific cartridge for the gun and is the point that the cap is "impacted" against when the gun is fired and which the internal moving parts of the cartridge, move against to recreate the action of the real thing. (hopefully that makes sense, it's been a long day..)
