This build took me months to put together. I easily got an airsoft M203 and GI Surplus M203 Handguards, but the market isn't nice when it comes to finding the rifle mount. I eventually managed
to get a mount complete with the spacers for real steel rifles on Gunbroker.

I don't know how to extend the Marushin barrel. Twisting all the way wouldn't make the sights align anymore, so I kept it as is. It's pretty heavy fully loaded and will aid me when I am animating it for a video game.

I am sorry I didn’t find your post earlier. This is a great set-up and the real M203 handguards add a lot of realism. I would love to get the proper handguards, but that is almost not possible here in Germany.

If you do not mind please share more pictures here.

The barrel part is screwed into the receiver (held by a nut), as well as into the front sight. If you have to unscrew it at the front sight, a spacer might help to align the front sight. Anyone with the proper tools should be able to make a replacement barrel with the proper length by cutting 14 mm metric threads into a steel or aluminum tube.
