Hello all,

Yes a question about the kits. Often, on the model gun kits, we have mouldings traces which stay. Ok, but in the user manual, we can see that we can use "paper sand" (I hope it's the word) to remove moulding traces.
But if I use paper, I think I am going to scratch the abs HW no??

I don't know how to do ?

Thanks.

Wet and Dry Emery paper, preferably used wet, add a drop of washing up liquid to the water is the best method. Moulding lines aren't that big, so start by gently rubbing with a Medium to Fine grit. Finish off with Fine or Very Fine grit to polish the surface.
While this will work with plain ABS and HWABS, any special coatings or finishes like some Marushin and Tanaka realistic blue/black finish may need extra care. Hopefully another member can advise with that.

Are you meaning LS model kits or standard Model guns?
If LS model kits, treat like any scale model. You can polish scratches out easily. Look for some YouTube tutorials on polishing scale model canopies and you can see what can be done with super fine wet and dry sandpapers up to 2000 grit.
