No Specific news really except that I have had two modelguns tested by the FSS (forensic Science Service) here in the UK and they have indeed confirmed they cannot be made to fire live ammo ...

Well heck I knew this anyway but off the back of some morons converting blank MAC 10s to go live ( in UK news recently) its rather re-assuring to know how the Home office and CPS view these things in these post VCR days . Very Happy

I`m still chasing like crazy to obtain official paperwork off them ( which they seem reluctant to give up ) but I`ll go at them until satisfied ( next step would be to get my MP onto them )

more when I know it

Good news on that doc obvious to all of us of course. Those macs surely had to of been real macs converted to blank firers and then converted back again as i dont no of any replica available over here that could be converted like that.

you can`t have live stuff converted to blank and then privately owned .

A Sec 5 weapon converted to " blank only " still has to be held on a sec 5 license and that crimbo cannot have has sec 5 or he would have had live stuff to hand .

I have heard of blank mac 10s made quite some years ago ...

The most recent Mac 10s that I heard of for blank firing, used about 93% real steel parts, with basically only really the barrel modified to not fire. I do not know exactly how they got passed in the first place, but they didnt stick around for long, and they were expensive to buy, about £600 or so. They used to be available from a certain website that has always specialised in russian gear and AKs of one sort or another. I guess that even a kid with a pretend tool kit could have figured out how to convert something like that. No

From what i rad on it though these macs were obtained from a dealer under the premise of being used to make a film hence why i assumed they were once real but converted for film work.

Its true that live stuff is specially adapted to use blanks for film work etc ... all has to be on sec 5 still ...purely because it wouldn`t take any effort to make them go live again .

in autos its usually only a restricted barrel thats fitted to compensate for the zero back pressure you`d get from blank rounds .
softer recoil springs can be fitted too .

This Joker paid out something like 55K to buy these Macs in Shocked ... he must have already known what the market would pay ...

I sometimes wonder what has happened to this country ...in the 70s (when I grew up ) the most you would hear is some bank blagger had got a bit nasty with a sawn off ...now its fecking full autos if you look at someone funny.

I`ve had two mates in brum confronted with gun toting maggots ...one was relived of his road bike ...the other had the audacity to toot his horn and someone who cut him up ....

its obvious the sentences handed out have no effect ... what we need is a law passing that says if you are caught with live weapons then you have just joined the army for five years .....they want to shoot live stuff ...well, give em the chance to .
