Home secretary planning to ban Deactivated weapons now .

I heard bits of this a while back but its all in the news now ...seems they want all pre 95 spec ones (i.e not all welded up) either out of anyones hands or all welded up like new spec.

http://www.gnn.gov.uk/environment/fullDetail.asp?ReleaseID=343768&NewsAreaID=2&NavigatedFromDepartment=True

I must admit I have quite a few nervous re-enacting mates right now set to loose large sums of money in this .

will it ever end ?

Believe I mentioned this elsewhere on the VCR thread some time back - 16 th Dec ? Government to ban De-Acts... Icon_cry

Although the details at the time were sparce . I have been hearing the news coming in all day on 5 live and Talksport while I was at work .

Deacts to be banned although some " genuine collectors " will be allowed to keep there models subject to certain conditions .

No doubt the UK gun crime will come to an abrupt HALT the moment this new law is enacted as well .

Only recently I was comparing the price of a new spec, SLR to a pre 1995 SLR old spec, in the Gunmart magazine .

Old specs were fetching as much as £1000 in tip top order usually with accesories etc at that price .

New Spec, was as low as £250 for a welded up ( big ) paperweight !! Government to ban De-Acts... Icon_surprised

Imagine the poor buggers who have to take their " sympathetically " deactivated pre 95 models to be butchered further in order to keep them ...

....and having to PAY for the privilage !!!!
