| (defunct) http://www.hudson-mfg.com/One of the first modelgun companies. Founded in 1960, it initially imported toyguns, just like MGC. They were the first to release a Japanese-designed and produced modelgun, Mauser 1896, in summer 1962. Hudson specialty were models that no other company produced: vz61 Scorpion, Tokarev TT-33, Nambu type 14, IMI Desert Eagle, PPsh-41, Madsen 1950 and AK47. Production of AK stopped in 1995 due to mold destruction, after 24 years of production and 80 thousand pieces. In 2009 president of the company, Kazuo Yamada, succumbed to sickness and died on 19th of December. Hudson company was closed by his sons who did not wish to continue in this business. Remaining stock and some molds were destroyed, factory and land sold. Website is currently broken and does not have much information except for the front page. CAW (Craft Apple Works) bought out M3A1 Grease Gun molds and released an improved version of that model. | |
