Some of you may have found this little cure already but just in case...

The ejector port cover is located by a spring and plunger and SHOULD open automatically when the charging lever is pulled back.
My kit's plunger seemed too long so the flap would stick shut.
By carefully opening the compartment holding the spring and plunger remove the plunger and find a used plastic 7mm cap.
I had several used in Marushin cartridges that had been punched through by the cartridges firing pin leaving a neat hole in it's centre.
Push the plunger through the cap's centre, trim away the excess plastic from the edges and refit plunger and spring into it's compartment.
The cap now acts as a neat spacer stopping the plunger protruding too far out.
Result is a flap that opens every time now and shuts properly too.
Nice and Easy Fix!

Great info Cerwyn! Thanks for the great tip, I will try that on my Marushin M16's. The fact that my covers refuse to shut properly takes away from the model somewhat. So I will try that fix soon..

Thanks Claymore and Mark!
Accessing the spring and plunger couldn't be easier in practice.
The plunger's held in a steel 'box' inside the flap. The box has a small 'tang' on the bottom which you can gently prise open with a knife or similar. Open it up and both spring and plunger drop out.
Reasemble after modifying and bend the tang back...

Good luck

Worked for me, thank you!

It was not easy to trim the cap to the right size without destroying it, there is not much material left of it when on the plunger.
