Chinese dummy models (metal, scaled)

As promised - rushed to the shop after work yesterday and got this...Chinese made Soviet AK47!


The box in "better-than-expected" quality...but only God knows why the ammo belt is placed under the AK for the photo shoot...


The text behind blah blah blah...can read it all from Wikipedia...


Very simple - the gun, the acrylic stand and most importantly the little pack of silica gel...


Basically apart from the squarish shape on the back of the top cover and the fragile free-swinging rear sight this is quite brilliantly made...


Size similar to the Russian Mini Arms that Smootik introduced...


Selector Switch in "Safe" position...


...in "Semi-Auto" position...I wonder why they print the Russian letter instead of the Chinese character as this is from China...


Can be cocked & fieldstripped...no dry fire though (trigger made together with the receiver in one-piece)...

Since no dummy round for it so no need to make it functional...

Comparison on the right side - I reckon the wood colour & the quality of this is better than the Hudson behind...

Made of steel & real wood - so not bad for RMB ￥398...and the more detailed (and pricey) Chinese Type 95 Assault Rifle coming very soon (shall be in stock again by tomorrow)...

Now I'd figured out why this mini-AK looks more of a Chinese Type 56 instead of the Russian AK...

Already bought and taken the photos for days...but anyway this is believe to be the most expensive Chinese Mini Arms that I'd found...


The red case just look very..."Chinese Communist"...


Comes with the gun/wood stand/dummy scope/mini nylon sling/booklet...wiping cloth and a pair of gloves (not in high quality so I leave it aside).






This shall be in 1:2 scale instead of the 1:3 for the AK...


Can be cocked...


...and dry fired.



The bolt's movable (chamber cleared with the bolt pulled).


Barrel blocked on the front with a screw only (haven't unscrewed it to see what'll happen though).


Movable selector switch (dummy of course).


Dummy scope.




Functional steel mag - I can load all 3 dummy rounds supplied (and as the pic shows I can't load another in because the tip of the rounds are longer than usual).


With everything fitted (minus the nylon sling).


On the stand (I prefer to have it horizontally if I can choose).


The authentication certificate printed inside the booklet - mine's is the 608th piece from the total of 9999 pieces made.

According to the booklet these mini guns were made in celebration of the 60th anniversary of the New Communist China last year - and this is the first ever slightly better looking longarms designed purely by Chinese (the Type 79 sub-machine gun simply looked dreadful). Also this mini-gun is believed to be made also from the arsenal making the real steel version of this.

Finally for those who might be curious on the star printed on the case and the gunstand with "8.1" (八一) - this is the day when the People's Liberation Army (PLA) officially established (1st August 1927)...and the price of this prestige decorative mini-arm...RMB ￥996...
