PS: do you know maybe why PPU's example is marked "STGA" instead of more common "SMG" (Safe Metal Gun)?

I do not have Marushin Leather Harness for M712. I have seen it at the auction in Yahoo Japan.

Marushin & Tanio-Koba managed to set up another toy gun "self-governing" body some 2 years ago - and "STGA" basically means "Safe Toy Gun Association". Might have something got to do with Marushin's own 8mm BB calibre (i.e. maybe if they reckon they have some unique products like these then they can set up their own rules instead of listening to the bullcxxps from ASGK or even JASG). Then why Tanio-Koba joined this new body? Maybe it got to do with Mr Kobayashi's character in which he likes to work with new people & groups (like how he helped Taiwan's KJ Works to develop GBB rifles now).

FYI - at first there was only ASGK (for airsoft) & SPG/SMG (for modelguns - plastic & metal respectively) and then JASG (for KSC/Maruzen/Hudson/Hobby Fix/Kokusai - because these makers also concentrates on APS - "Air Precision Shooting" airsofts) and now STGA...

Then - back to this metal M712 - is the shoulder stock made by Marushin as well? It certainly looks better than the one that I got...

I heard Marushin disaffiliated from ASGK, setting up an another toygun association.
I also heard a story about president of Marushin and Tanaka, was about to start up hand-to-hand fight at one of ASGK meeting. Things are not always organized.....in this industry in my country unfortuanately......

Although I haven't done so myself, I believe the gold plating can be removed by polishing it away with a mild abrasive metal polish.
