| Oh Boy oh Boy, that AK looks better every time I see it, fabulous! It sounds really good and loud too. I can't keep count of how many rounds your managing to fire in one burst mate, so how many have you got in the mag? Great video too mate, remember that there's only 8ace and yourself ever that managed to video a Hudson AK firing more than about 5 before jamming... unique videos these ! _________________ Cerwyn

| Cerwyn,i have got 26 carts for the ak so far but to be honest they are really tight in the mag so i don't think i could fit any more in . The cartridges are holding up really well too compared to the brass one's ,so it looks like i should gets lots of fun from this baby Cheers Chris | |

DOC True enough Doc, and full credit where it's due, your steel STEN is truly superb. I've seen one of your MP38s close up too and it is stunning. Which reminds me, when are we going to see a full review on the MP38 and a video hopefully (please?) in the Blank Fire section? We've been itching to see one in action since the day you anounced it. Did you ever get time to making pfc versions of the '38? What I admire most about 8ace's achievement with the Hudson AK47 is that he's an amateur engineer working at home "in the garden shed" as it were.Considering that Hudson themselves haven't got a working AK in production 8ace, in true good old fashioned British tradition, locked himself in his shed and sorted it. _________________ Cerwyn

| Yes I`ve seen those bolts , had one myself ...First look I thought it was something to add strength to the face ...discounted this as soon as I unscrewed it and saw the spring and pin ...I then wondered if at some point Hudson had considered using this as some aid to ejecting the shells i.e back of the pin is struck and it forces the round out against the extractor and the spring brings it flush with the bolt face again ...its sort of in the right place for this ...of course there is nothing else inside the model to support this idea .
Would need to be more central to aid detonation of the shells.
Needless to say if Hudson abandoned the idea they would still have a load of cast bolts that they would need to fit these parts of end up with a hole .
thats my 2p anyway

| Looking at the vid again I reckon that the fire rate is about right....... 2-3 seconds video time equals about 20-30 rounds.... 10 rounds a second ish is not to far from the 600 RPM of the real one 8ace | |
