| OK... The text is written, plenty of it. Photos are taken, about 150 of good ones are left to choose from. All that stands between you and reading the review is about three hours of time that I need to find to put it all together. I forgot the name of the model, but I'm sure you will figure it out from this teaser picture | |

| Got it down to under 100 pictures now. It will be split between review and disassembly instructions to make post sizes manageable.
Unfortunately photo quality is quite poor :-/ It's been raining here for days, with only a brief period of sunny-ish weather when I could take these pictures. There was not enough light to get good photo though... and just to add to confusion shutter button on my camera stopped working correctly, so camera lost control over focus :-/ I think I need buy a whitebox with small studio lamps to be independent from Sun, but modelgun that you see here is way too large to fit inside usual ones ;-)
I will still go ahead and put it all up this week :-) Maybe I will take and post better pictures when camera gets fixed. Repair of this damn button costs over 100$, as much as a whole used camera, duh!

| It's a Sony DSC-V1, about 7 years old. They cost now about 100-150$ on second-hand market, while Sony service quoted over 100$ fo replacing the button module :-/
Optics and intelligence still work well (so the quality is ok), but shutter button malfunctions. I cannot make half-press to catch focus, check it and take a proper picture. I can only make full-press and hope that "intelligence" in camera works well. Unfortunately this means that I need to take 4-5 pictures to check later instead of 1-2 usually good at first try. This makes taking pictures much more frustrating, but at least camera still works.
Quality problem I had was more with lighting. Weather is rainy and overcast, so exposure times were too long and made pictures blurry. Tripod could not be always used and I was unable to get good closeups. With a bit of processing (mainly sharpening) pictures did come out not as bad as I were afraid :-)
I have another camera (about the same age) that I could use as a backup, but when trying to turn it on I discovered that battery swelled and is not usable anymore. Law of series, or whatever it is called ;-) Fortunately it did not spill inside. Replacement battery should be already on it's way, so don't worry about more reviews ;-)

| Very good. It just goes to show how important the model gun forum has become, and now being used as a reference. | |

| Heck smootik, I missed your post about your review appearing on the P38's auction site! Your fame is well deserved mate, your reviews are truly superb. As Ozguns says, it's excellent news to learn our site's being used as a reference point. Anything like this that heps bring modelgun enthusiasts together here has to be good news _________________ Cerwyn

| This is an airsoft model, but unique and rare enough to deserve a mention here: https://mp40modelguns.forumotion.net/t2903-tanaka-wz63-pm-63It should attract traffic to our forum, as I have not seen any other review in English on the Net. At the moment I have only two more reviews waiting to be published. This one waited for a long time, while Marushin kit was done on an impulse ;-) | |

| Instead of a detonator pin, here's a magazine of a modelgun to be featured in my next review. Keep guessing until the review comes up :-) | |

| No, these magazines have a different construction, with holes on the side instead of a slider. See picture below for MGC M59 magazine (on the right side), Marushin looks almost the same. Just to be sure I tried mystery magazine in MGC M59, and it doesn't fit - different angle, and too thin. | |
