| Ok. I know I said that due to the economy I would not be able to get another model gun for some time. I am in the auto industry, a technician, and have worked on everything from chevy to hummer to aston martin and am actually factory certified/trained with Lamborghini and Lotus and have to say that this is the worst ever. And it will never be as good as it was.
Well my lovely wife surprised me with a new model kit. A hudson grease gun! YEAY!!! all I need now is the english instructions to put it together. any help?
Also after April I will not be able to be contacted for a year as I am in the Army now and will be shipping out in April.

| Hi Romagnus! Great to hear from you, it's been awhile hasn't it? I hadn't even heard of a Hudson Grease Gun in Kit form before so I'm interested to hear more about it! The factory built model in abs is pretty straight forward to field strip and reassemble ... how much assembling do you need to do? Hopefully we'll have your Grease Gun up and firing before April. You keep in touch between now and then and you take good care of yourself wherever you end up buddy. Keep your head down... _________________ Cerwyn

| Well it looks like I actually need to use glue for this kit, unlike the marushin mp40. There are a lot of tab "a" to slot "b" fittings but no securing. I went and got some "loctite" plastic heavy duty glue, hopefully that will be good enough. I may just wing it using your pictures of disassembly and reassembly. I'll let you know how it goes. I will post pictures of the kit in a bit. | |

| Hi Cerwyn,
The Hudson m3a1 kit is recent release, its part of a new batch of modelgun kits that includes the greasegun,m9 dolphin,m84 and a .45 too i remeber seeing, all are in the bland brown boxes with no art work on them.I think its another way of selling the models but at a cheaper rate,if you do a search on the Yahoo Japan modelgun site you will see them come up. I hope this has helped and that all my facts are correct.
Cheers Kickback | |

| Hi Cerwyn, You are correct the site can be translated into English-ish,if you know what i mean ,and yes again they do not sell internationally, but as we are lucky enough here to know a few lovely chaps in Japan who are more than willing to bid for u, there is no reason why you can not have a go Kickback | |

| the magazine sticks really hard in the sleeve and ALL of the outside cosmetics had to be glued on! I may fire it today and let you know, it only came with 6 rounds so not much of a movie but we will see what happens. | |

| Ok. I loaded a cart. like you said and the only way I could get it to fire is if I put the round on the firing pin in the barrel and then pull the trigger. It acts like the springs are not strong enough. it ejects just fine though! | |

| the bolt releases just fine but not with enough force it seems like. It could be that it is not chambering properly but it is hard to tell. It does look like the bolt doesn't close all the way but that may be due to the round not chambering properly or the springs not strong enough. If I place a round on the detonator pin the round pops and ejects fine so maybe it isn't chambering properly. The round does leave the magazine and is partially in the barrel. Don't know if that helps.
The manual is uploaded in the instruction area. enjoy.

| A really nice looking model! I have the ABS factory assembled version and really enjoy it. These came with a dull grey finish that can be easily rubbed off. I guess you had to glue the receiver parts together. Hope it performs well too.
I can imagine what it is like in the auto industry right now.Anyway I am quite sure that the economical crises will struck almost everyone in the western world. Being in the Army at the age of 38 (I am in my early 30s too) so I'd guess you are with the reserves? Or did you decide to give up the job and enlist?

| This looks like it is made of ABS plastic as it looks black and shiny all the other models i have seen have been made of HW material or a very strange colour brittle plastic. To be honest it looks better than the models i have as mine or either grey in colour or a strange green tint to them and this type of plastic would be stronger i think. | |
