| Ah madmike has got to be your man (i think) I thought that the Marushin fitted the real mags well 1: is finding one..... And 2: Sorting out the front internals of the mag to cope with the lack of the bullet tip. 8ace | |

| The magazine catch slot needs adjusting to get it to catch properly too. I'm sure there's a thread on here somewhere discussing this. I'll have a better look tomorrow. I have real 30rd mags for mine. They will fit once that slot's tweaked but the lips, follower and spring all need work to feed. For pure display, however, they're quite easy to fit. _________________ Cerwyn

| Its only for cosmetic use-will not be used with PFC carts so easier to remove the guts i guess but would like a few pics if someone has any of a converted mag.
Thanks | |

| If you want it for display only, no probs at all. You have to file the mag catch hole making it larger on top. I would recommend taking the mag catch lever out of your Marushin M16, then you will see. Then reinstall it and test-fit. It is all about filing and test-fitting. You remove too much, and your mag will rattle. I also noticed that real mags as well as Marushin models differ slightly, so one mag fitting one Marushin model does not mean it will fit another Marushin model too.
Making it feed properly is very difficult as the feed lips have to be reworked. I did not yet manage to do that properly. The original follower will work (the current green ones seem to be the best), but the spring is far too stiff. I have yeard some are using the Marushin spring from the 20 round magazines with good sucess. | |

| It is no big deal and the aluminum can be filed easily. The AR-15 magazines are available and chap if you use a used one from military surplus. Good luck! | |
