| It seems very easy to remove the circlips (see red arrow on the picture), but I've already tried it a few times, and I always fail to remove it! I've already bought a special tool for it, but it still seems to be impossible. Has anyone done it before?? [img=https://2img.net/r/ihimizer/img14/2856/93r.th.jpg] | |

| Buy the proper pliers. It is worth the cost as it saves you from being mad when they fly all over the room If you only plan to use it while occasionally disassemble your model gun you could buy the cheapest one you find as you won't wear it out. You should be able to find in any hardware shop... | |

| That is the special tool I was talking about, only mine was closed in the normal position and I had to pull the 'legs' of the pliers away from each other to open the teeth of the pliers. The shop also had the version which you show, but then the teeth couldn't get close enough to each other to fit in the circlips. | |

| Hi 8ace Wish I had found something like that, really cheap as I've spent 17€ (about 14£) for my stupid pliers that doesn't do the job. Think I need to search a little more, but as I said, the problem is that the teeth of most pliers don't come close enough to each other to fit in the circlips. Anyway, thanks four your help guys. The reason I want to remove it, is that I have bought a cheap 'AUTO9' airsoft gun (no KSC), from which the extended barrel can be taken off. Now off course I want to try if it fits my KSC 93R. I've also seen that there already is a thread about trying this with the KSC airsoft AUTO9, but I guess no one actually tried it besides modelguncollector.co.uk, but I don't think I will get any help there | |

Somehow when I saw your picture, I knew what you were trying to do ;-) I got stuck on that circlip too... as often it is a matter of having the right tools for the job, at the very least to avoid damaging your model. As far as I can tell KSC Auto9 parts (slide extension) do not fit without modifications: - cutting grooves on the dust cover (front of frame), or filing off those parts from slide extension, - cutting off front sight from slide, or creating a groove for it in extension, - reusing rear sight (it should fit), - reusing grips (I have not tried that). Apart from KSC Auto9 (GBB) there were also MGC and Maruzen (both gas NBB), as well as cheapo electric (with slightly different shape and mounting of slide extension) replicas. | |

| The M93R has been laying in the closet now for a few months, and yesterday I just had to try it again, and with some help the f*cking thing got removed I used a pair of pliers, and a friend put a very sharp knife under the circlips and it flew through the room Now I tried to place the barrel extension on the gun, but it seems I have to cut of the complete 'block' on which the folding handle is normally attached to. Did anyone do this before?? Ofcourse when I do this, the gun will never be a normal M93R anymore... Does anyone have a KSC Auto 9? I would like to see some pictures of it without the barrel extension. This could make it easier I think. Thanks already!!

| Oops, ofcourse I didn't need pictures of a normal M93R, because I have 2 of them myself. I'd like to see some pictures of the Auto 9 without barrel extension to make my conversion a little easier. I will edit it in my post | |

| Thanks Smootik! This is just what I needed! I have a cheaper version of the Auto 9 and it seems that it has some minor differences from the KSC one. I'll try to do the conversion ASAP Hope the result will be good! Otherwise I will have to find a KSC one I guess. If anyone has a KSC Auto 9 for sale, please let me know. It would be nice to have it anyway, even if my conversion turns out good. | |
