| Does anyone out there have an English instuction manual for a MGC Luger P08 PFC firing gun please? I'm looking for help to remove the pistol's firing pin for cleaning in particular please.
Thanks in anticipation

| Post by DOC There are no English instruction manuals for the MGC Luger.
Plus getting the igniter pin out is a horrible Job
If I`m correct there are two MGC Lugers, one had a special long tool that when the gun was partly dissasembled allowed you to unscrew the detonator pin.
The later type had no such tool and you had to strip the gun completely and use a flat blade screw driver to remove the pin.
good luck though as if the pins been fired against and left it you are unlikely to remove it due to corrosion. plus in all this its easy to snap the barrel area.
I hate to say it but I think MGC dropped the ball when making the luger. _________________ We need guns...lots of guns....

| Many thanks for your reply. I didn't get a tool with it so it sounds like a complete strip! The gun's only fired 2 magazine full's so hopefully corrosion won't be a problem yet. The japanese manual has pretty good diagrams so I'll follow that and hope!
Thanks for your help!

| Post by John Hi cerwyn,
Not sure if you come across the previous post by our Japanese friend - probelx in Modelgun Reviews - topics "Review Request" Page 2. He is an expert in stripping MGC P-08. You may seek his advice if needed.
BTW, do you have the MGC original wooden grip for MGC P-08 ? I heard that it is a sought after item. It may cost even more than the gun itself. Believe it or not ?

Hi John, My grips aren't wooden! Never mind, the gun is in super condition. I bought it from Modelguns.co.uk, (highly recommended, a pleasure to deal with as always) to add to my growing collection. They found it, in unfired condition, test fired it, and I've since put a mag' through it. It's a beauty! Thanks very much for showing me the posts from our Japanese member. Very informative and helpful! Thanks, I'm sure he will be a great help. Kind regards Cerwyn

| Post by DOC My advice if it was in "new" condition and only recently fired is to just open the toggle and run the tap (faucet) down inside and thoroughly dry it with a hair dryer.
The Luger is horrid to take apart and there is a real risk of breaking the back of the upper frame/ rear toggle where the plastic is very thin . _________________ We need guns...lots of guns....

| Thanks Doc! I'll try that, sounds easy enough! There shouldn't be any heavy deposits there really. Is a good spraying of WD40 or a similar water dispersant a good idea afterwards too?

| I use a spray called SAS and it seems very much like WD40 and have been using it for many years with no problems. once washed the metal parts within the Luger will need a spray or some lubricant /rust preventer and WD40 seems the most common in the UK .
Anyone on here had any ill effects from WD40 or any other spray ? _________________ We need guns...lots of guns....

| Post by LDR I to am having a problem with my Luger. Have managed to fire only once, and now its won't set the caps off. I have had a look at the firing pin and there is some green on it, which i presume is left over cap. I think this maybe causeing the fault.
However i have no idea how to take apart, i got the grips and front lever off...but i cannot get the safety off, looks a right pain.
Any suggestions? I just got my 5mm caps and have been waiting to fire this for along time...and now this....
Please help!
