| not sure of price, still have to work out details ...Material, etc..... I guess it depends on how many are made, the more I can get out, the cheaper they will be. Complete with steel extractor. | |

| I might be interested depending on price etc.
Also i'd want it for the 1928, rather than 1921

Lewis Hi Lewis, As far as I know, if you're after steel bolts for MGC model Thompsons, there's no difference at all between the bolts at all.The MGC 1921 Thompson is typically sold as a Chigago type, pistol type foregrip, drum mag while the "1928" is in military guise, stick mag and horizontal foregrip. The rest of the gun is exactly the same Real 1921 and '28 Thompsons did have some detail differences which MGC didn't use in their model. The M1A1 Thompson made during the 1940s had several differences in design, including the bolt. It is possible to make steel bolts for Hudson's M1A1 too should you need one. Hope that helps _________________ Cerwyn

| Thanks Cerwyn, its actually a Hudson one.
Doesnt the 1921 have the bolt handle welded on at the top? Where as the 1928 has the handle inserted into the side?
THanks

| Hi LewisAs far as I know Hudson only made the M1A1 version which was a late 1940's military model. No cooling fins on the barrel, stick mag fittings only, basic iron sights intead of the Fully adjustable ones previously used, non removable butt stock...The M1A1 has the cocking handle on the right hand sideBoth 1921 and 1928 Thompsons used the bolt with top mounted cocking handle. I found some good photos of each version here http://world.guns.ru/smg/smg29-e.htm _________________ Cerwyn

| Aaaha...thats where im going wrong.
I thought the world war 2 one was the 1928 model.
So.....im interested in a steel bolt for the later M1A1 version!
hope thats cleared that up. lol
