Hi Rick,
MGC made a couple of versions of their MP40 bolts, one was for their centre mounted Ejector, the other for the offset mounted Ejector. Which versions are yours please?
Also, MGC sold both non-firing models and cap firing types. The non-firing type have the bolt face cut at an angle making them incapable of holding a cartridge or feeding cartridges from the magazine. So, which types do you have please?
Are the bolts used or new, unused? If used, what condition are they in? Any wear to the feed lugs? are the charging handles still attached?
Some photos would be very useful too please.
Obviously the above will affect the value. Like most specialised items like this, it is difficult to pin down a value. Many times it all depends how much someone is willing to pay.
Let's see what your bolts look like, that'll make a big difference.

I got these MGC MP40 Bolts from another collector and dont need them cause i already had a bolt in mine.
does anyone know how much these MGC MP40 bolts cost?
i just want to be fair on the price to whoever is interested .
the only part i need is the folding stock (2 metal tubes and the butt end ) i would consider trades or little of both.

Hi Rick,
Thanks very much for the photos. You have three Bolts and Recoil tubes there. All are configured for the Offset Ejector version MGC MP40. Extractors present, Charging handles still attached. Maybe it's the camera angle but the bolt face on the one shown looks like it's machined in square profile, not circular as needed to hold a cartridge rim. Is that an elongated slot on the charging handle side too? (Maybe my old eyes ain't what they used to be!)
For comparison, take a look at the bolts here:
Please note this shows repairwork underway to the feedramp
and here:
Please note this is a custom made steel version, not standard Zinc
Sorry for all the questions, but specifications will affect desirability and worth

Cerwyn, here are some more pictures i took. the first one on the left is the center feed version i believe and i wanted to hold on to that one. i think the 3rd bolt starting from the left is the only that cant hold the shell casing cause they made a big angle away from the area where the casing would be, what do you think? also the same third bolt has a big groove down the length of it, i have no idea why they did that. but anyway, the person i received the bolts from didnt mention these bolts being used at all and they look like they havent been used. i do not see any striation marks or friction scratches on any of them. here are the pictures....

Hi Rick,
Thanks for these detailed photos, these show your bolts perfectly.
You've all three types that MGC produced for their MP40. The one with the grooved feed rail is the earliest I believe. It's for the centre mounted ejector and resembles the real MP40 the best. It is suitable for shell ejection and cap firing.
The single feed ramp version is for the offset ejector type, again for cap firing.
The one with the ground away bolt face was made primarily for MGCs export market and was intended to be unsuitable for cap-firing or shell ejecting and feeding. I believe most of these were sold in the USA. Those models had other drastic mods, plugged chambers, split receiver around the chamber, drilled holes through barrel nut and chamber too.
Anyone in the process of converting one of those non-firing models will be in need of one of your firing bolts. The forum pages regularly has posts from owners doing just that so there will be a demand for them.
Value is, as I said before, difficult to pin down. Original, good condition bolts are rare these days. MGC have been out of business for several years now. I'm sure you'd get between £60 and £90 each for the cap-firing type, possibly more as they have recoil tubes & springs. It all depends how much someone is willing to pay for one.
I hope this helps
