Tanaka S&W M1917 US version

Tanaka seems to bring S&W M1917 US version shortly.
Currently, Tanaka has M1917 in 6.5 inches barrel, .455 rounds UK version with checkered grip, but this one will be 5.5 inches, .45ACP with half moon clip with smooth grip (grip is made from plastic for both model though).

Can be good companion for your 1911.

In the beginning I did not understand why to release same model just in different calibers. Or markings (P38 military/commercial). Then I discovered that it adds to realism for reconstructors and people who look for particular details :-)

Shazhib, do you know if this corresponds to airsoft models?
Maybe there is a chance for completely new revolvers?

The Tanaka 4-incher is made upon request from Indiana Jones fans - it's a PFC replica of the gun used in the Cairo scenes in Raiders of the Lost Ark...

Suomi is right. Sometime modelgun company sells collaborative model (not necessarily official one). Rather than just to sell the gun, it may sell well if the gun been used at a movie or animation (walther P38 is so popular because of it).

Do not know if Tanaka will sell in airsoft. But now, M1917 has 4.5 ABS, metal finish and parkerized look, 6.5 in ABS and parkerized. Finanlly, 5.5 in ABS US version with half moon clip.

I wish they will sell Colt Positive and Browning HP.
